Oct 30, 2009 - This was a real pain in the ass for me, but when it was all said and done I got it. They had the screws so fucking tight that I ended up stripping the threads on one of my screws. Used a pair of plyers and got it half hour later.

cmithril Says:
Nov 8, 2009 - Everything that is in your PS3 is on ur harddrive so no, but ur friends and trophies are saved to ur account so all u gotta do is to remember email and pass
grimgrimdeath666 Says:
Nov 8, 2009 - thax i got to find out wat my pass is then lol cause i sign in automaticly
legendfang Says:
Nov 9, 2009 - no you have to back up all the save files on a flash or external drive and transfer it to the new drive after you install to the PS3.
Skilly9000 Says:
Nov 9, 2009 - you trophies and your friends list are bound to your PSN account, so if you log in to your PS3 after the HDD upgrade, your trophies and friends list will still be there. as for the stuff you bought from the playstation store, you can just download it again when logged in to the PSN account you bought it with. but everything else will be gone, unless you have a USB storage device with enough capacity to make a backup of all the stuff you have on the PS3.
flibidyflob Says:
Nov 10, 2009 - No such thing as "SADA" when referring to a HD, you mean SATA. This is why so-called geeks confuse others when they speak acronyms like they are words instead of saying S A T A (Serial Advanced Technology Attachment). Why do I bring this up? Because inevitably there will be some poor soul looking to find an "SADA" drive when none such exists.
