anactualengineer Says:
Oct 29, 2009 - Two things I can't quite get in my head: 1) Why Kim? He sucks, at least don't let him play solos because he fucking sucks. 2) Why does Chris keep going for the high pitched vocals when he can't sing that shit live? I mean the recordings are fucking awesome but live he sucks!
MasterBattor Says:
Oct 30, 2009 - Not Sure if i want a Soundgarden reunion... its not going to be the same, specially cause chris is a sellout rock star, their last album kinda sucked already. there aint gonna be another "louder than love" or "Badfingermotor", i seriously doubt chris can sing most of their best songs since is voice is not what it used to be..
MasterBattor Says:
Oct 30, 2009 - Kim doesnt suck, thats the kinda guitar play they wanted for their grunge sound. dirty simple hard rock solos match perfectly with their sound. virtuous guitar solos and complex riffs would be completly out of context of Soundgarden's type of sound. as for chris i agree, but he sucks now, not on is prime (late 80's/early 90's)
anactualengineer Says:
Oct 31, 2009 - He is the one piece of that band that could be replaced by any kid that has been playing the guitar regularly for 3 years. Can't say that for any of the other members. Virtuosity is not necessary in rock, but a certain level of proficiency isn't bad. No disrespect, I still love the band as a whole, is Chris would stick lo lower registers and only go up for the shine they would have been able to have amazing live recordings too. Most of the live stuff doesn't measure up.

Nov 3, 2009 - No, we are just able to rule the world, it doesn't mean that it is in our intentions. Ignorant much?
TopGunFrontDesk Says:
Nov 4, 2009 - What a lot of idiots here.
doorTLM Says:
Nov 7, 2009 - I don't think he sucks live. For example, take his album Euphoria Morning. I think it's brilliant. As far as the sell-out rock star thing.... No... He's not a rockstar, he's a musician. Being a former rockstar does not restrict him to only rock. You might not like his new stuff, but that doesn't mean he sucks. At least, thats my opinion...
NoRulesInNam Says:
Nov 7, 2009 - Soundgarden don't need to reform. Even if I don't like his recent solo effort, he should be able to do what he wants musically and shouldn't be pressured into doing something with a band that is dead and gone along with the movement it helped spawn.
MasterBattor Says:
Nov 8, 2009 - well he is "a rock star" cause he lives and uses that image for is mainstream success, and its because of that "rockstar" label that he still sells. and no matter how lame it is, all is works are rock based material, and carries that image. so he is a "sellout rockstar" and he knows it. and the reason i say he sucks, its not because he doesnt sound like Soundgarden, or is sound isnt heavy, its because it sounds like every other pop/rock crap, that is out there only sang by chris cornell.
oddspelling Says:
Nov 10, 2009 - He's right, you should go out on top.
queeneggplant Says:
Nov 14, 2009 - he's still bang-able!

Nov 14, 2009 - Soundgarden should at least do a world tour together once again man! with Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains....that would be sooooooooooooo rad!
mimosastar705 Says:
Nov 14, 2009 - Goddamn right!!!!!
spuffchops70 Says:
Nov 19, 2009 - Kim most definitely does not suck. The band as a whole were totally derivative, they made metal seem good again, but his guitar playing was not mediocre. If anything, Cornell was the least talented member of the band. Thayil, Yamamoto, Cameron Shepherd were all inspired musos. Try and tell me the "Gun' solo sucks, it's amazing!
spuffchops70 Says:
Nov 19, 2009 - Hey, you there! Yes, YOU! Over there in that continent that WE colonised. Perhaps if you'd ever read a book you'd be aware that Poland has given the world an astounding cultural legacy like Gorecki and Joseph Conrad. And then you could perhaps learn how to use the English language get the lettering right on the sign for your new Guantanamo Bay.

Nov 20, 2009 - oh how i hate his new album
ManPigApe Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - Lets put 2 and 2 together here, Chris thought he'd go solo w/his "creative" differences and be a major success, well that failed. Give Kim cred for sticking to what he believes musically. Its Chris's ego that wont allow him to get back with Soundgarden and admit he failed as a solo artist
The1Juice Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - i was lucky enough to see soundgarden when they were cresting, what a rush! chris has a great voice.
revolutionday1 Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - "Cornell was the least talented member of the band"........??? I'm with you here on everything else, but that statement is just ridiculous. Besides being an absolutely phenomenal singer, he also plays several different instruments, I believe.
revolutionday1 Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - "Creative differences" usually means somebody fucked somebody else's girlfriend or wife.
baraks72 Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - Least talented? What planet are you from? As a multi-instrumentalist with a voice that's been voted as one of the best in rock, and having written almost all of the Soundgarden songs? Waky waky.
spuffchops70 Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - Agreed. His voice is great, but don't rate anything he's done post SG. Just wish the other ex-members of the band were doing something interesting, I guess, rather than all the focus being on him. Matt's still drawing a healthy 'dad rock' pension with Pearl Jam and Kim's doing stuff with those drone bores Sunn O}}} Not very exciting really. Maybe Kim could delve into his family's Keralan roots and do some drone metal ragas, for instance?
